We usually recruit 1–2 Dog Grooming Apprentices each year, offering the opportunity to build a career in dog grooming while working, learning and gaining a recognised qualification.

Our apprentices work alongside experienced stylists in our salons, with structured training to develop practical grooming skills, safe and welfare-led handling, customer service and the professional standards needed to become a confident Dog Stylist.

You don't need previous grooming experience — that's what we're here to teach you. We're looking for people who are kind, calm, patient and hardworking, who love dogs, enjoy working with people and are serious about building a long-term career in the industry.

Apprenticeships are paid positions and combine real salon experience with practical training, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills while becoming part of the My Dog Barber team.
